Reviews of Marriott Properties in Seattle

I stayed at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront, room 677, on November 26, 2007. I was only there for a few hours, having arrived after midnight with an appointment for breakfast at 6 AM.

I checked the box for "high room" and asked for a room away from the elevator and other noise sources in the comments while reserving my room. The counter person made a point at check-in, of saying they were assigning my room away from the elevator as I had requested. 677 is a corner room, I think the Southwest corner. There's a harbor view, marred somewhat by an adjoining roof, I suspect the 7th floor rooms and above would have a better view.

I detected no noise at all, which was nice considering that I only was going to be able to sleep for four hours. The room was immaculately clean and the facilities were good. The size of the room was adequate, enough room for a big bed, a desk, and a chair or two but you might not want to spend all day there. The thermostat was a modern digital unit and worked properly.

The hotel is pricey, I think this was a $300 room and with taxes I spent about $350. This is fine for business, there are lots of motels if you want to pay less, but this hotel was right across the street from my customer.

There is nice glass sculpture, I saw one interesting piece in the lobby and the hotel web site shows more.
